Just wondering of anyone else has had this issue. My car is only a week old but sometimes the trunk doesn't want to open. I can hear it click but it won't pop up. This is the same repose from the button and the key fob. Not sure if I should bother taking it in or not..

Mine releases but never pops up, i like that , as in rain, it does not open until I want it to with my hand.

Yeah. Mine does that. It just won't open sometimes even if I pull on it. And sometimes makes a different sound. Like it is trying to unlatch but can't

Mine pops up about 1/4 inch, then I have to open it by hand.

Is that what yours is doing? Or does yours not release?

Lol,.. you beat me to the post. I would take it in, mine always unlatches.

It doesn't release at all sometimes. When it does release its fairly loud and noticeable that you have opened the trunk, so it's easy to notice when it doesn't open correctly

Haha if it continues I'm going to probably take it in. I'm just hoping it's a fluke. But it's happened like 3 times now so hopefully it doesn't continue

I've had the same issue occur a couple of times. However, my trunk gets opened 2-3 times a day, ive had the car for about 2 months, and it's only happened twice.

When it happens, i just push down on the trunk and try to open again and it works fine. Doesn't happen enough for me to be really concerned.

I did read somewhere that the parking break needs to be on for the trunk to open. Could that be what is going on?

(Not sure if this is just for manual cars or not though)

Mine does it too, I open mine 4 times a day and it's happened twice in 2 months (once a month). It's totally random, thanks for the tip of pushing it down and trying again.

Mine did the same thing when I first got the car, probably about 3-5 different times in a 4 month span. Had the car for little over a year now and hasn't done it since.
