Turbo 4 cyl Mustang spied on video!
Saw these posted up on Mustang6g.
First video confirming there's a ecoboost turbo 4 cylinder Mustang coming. The whine is definitely noticeable. These were seen in Flagstaff Arizona, in case anyone here is near there and has a camera OP: http://www.mustang6g.com I wonder if the next gen Camaro will have a turbo 4 to compete directly too. |

hmmmm... i have the 2.0 4 cylinder EcoBoost in my Focus ST... also have the 3.5 EcoBoost in the Flex... and when they were both stock you basically heard zero turbo noises! It's like Ford doesn't want any of the EcoBoosts to give off any tell tale sounds... Now it may be completely difference when it comes to an EB in the Mustang

I still don't get the point of a turbo'd 4 cyl Mustang. I'm sure it will be a fantastic fun car but a 4 cyl Mustang is a big . Put it in another body and call it something else...

i hope chevy doesnt go that route. for one the camaro is way to heavy for a turbo 4cyl, unless the 6th gen camaro comes in at around 3,300 pounds than thats a different story but we all know thats not going to happen im hoping the 6th gen comes in at 3,600lbs like the current mustang. i heard rumors of the corvette getting a twin turbo v6 im glad that didnt happen.

I don't care how much HP they make. The throaty growl of the V8, can't beat it.

The Cafe requirement is across the manufacturer line up, it doesn't apply to a specific model.

As for the V8...I'd guess it will be between 3,550 to 3,650 lbs.

This is 100% true but depending on the other models offered, something may have to give in the future. I just hope that a V8 will always be offered for the Vette and Camaro. Otherwise kill off the nameplates.

Agreed
That is why I picked a V8 with an iron block. I know aluminum is supposedly better in every way, but I'm not taking this car to the track it is a daily driver. Manual transmission so if that goes it can probably be fixed. I will do within reason what ever it takes to keep mine going because I just don't want to drive another 4 banger again. No offense to those who do you will certainly have plenty of choices, but they are not for me.
