I paid 325 for ATI damper
135 for the lingenfelter 9.17
26 for the belt
599.00 for the headers
375 Tony mamo tb
80 for the plugs
9.75 for the new damper bolt
600 for the tune
Labor free..

i later added the cold air carbon elite but it made no power so take it out of the equation.

While not discounting the visual and acoustic benefits of a CAI, the same philosophy of not 'needing' them unless you're opening up the engine holds true for a CAI, you'll get more bang for you buck with a ported TB.

If you're looking for a better exhaust note, there are a lot of options.

FWIW, I went with a TM TB, Green Filter, and Borla 60606 X-Pipe. I got what I wanted from those - quicker/touchier throttle response, a little more power (?), and a deeper/throatier exhaust note all for right around a grand.
Thanks for the info. I think most of these ideas are for the sound but the TB would be to add a little pep. I'll do a little more research, thanks again

Awesome! Thank you and thank you for the bonus thread link as well. I remembered you had a thread about the build and you saved me from searching.

How much boost are you making now after the pulley and header swap? I bet that SC sounds mean! Did you just hook up headers to the factory cats or go catless?

I had a Mamo TB on my car for over a month and couldn't really tell much difference in performance or drivability either. I experienced just about as many episodes of off idle lag as I did with the stock TB. Idle seemed as little rougher with the Mamo TB but that's really splitting hairs.

I've now installed ported TBs on three different vehicles. In all three cases, I returned the vehicles back to their stock TB without any degradation in performance. I did have rpm hunting at idle with the ported TB on my '13 ZL1 but that stopped as soon as I put the stock one back on.

I know a lot of people on this board rave about how much better their car performs with a ported TB. That just hasn't been my experience. Could have something to do with my driving style...I don't know. If you check out the For Sale section, there's a couple of tuners that aren't fans of the Mamo TB either.

I'm done playing around with ported TBs. Three strikes and your out as far as I'm concerned.

I know. Can't remember if there was a time limit on that. 30 days rings a bell.

Yep. Just checked an email. He offers a 30 day money back guarantee. I've had his TB longer than 30 days.

My only upgrade is a green drop-in filter.

From my experience I'd tell you to save your money. However, there are so many happy customers on this and the Corvette forum that you almost owe it to yourself to try one. He does offer a 30 day money back guarantee. And even if you do exceed the 30 days, I'm confident you'll recover a good portion of the cost selling it outright.

Added close to 3 lbs over stock I think no cats measure then cut bolts to stock system.

Good to know, as I thought I was the only one that's noticed absolutely no difference in performance.
