Hi All,

I noticed today that the paint on my rims is fading. I remember that there were some posts on this topic already but did not find any past posts using the search feature.

Any thoughts whether this problem is covered under the warranty?

It is covered, I had paint fading and white spots all over all 4 wheels. I took it to the dealer and they replaced all four wheels with no hassle.

Is this covered under the standard warranty or the extra wheel warranty they try and sell you before buying the car?

Just under the standard warranty, I do not have the wheel warranty. They did not give me any trouble replacing all four wheels, they had paint fade and white spots popping up everywhere. They obviously wanted to see them first so I brought the car down for them to look at and left it with them as they wanted to evaluate it lol. They called me a few hours later and said they were replacing all of them.

I actually have one wheel starting to do it again already and they just replaced them in January.
