tunes without adding boost
Hello turbo camaro owners. I am currently doing some research for SCCA classing on the camaro turbo. Right now it currently does not have a street touring class designation and thats something I would like to get fixed.
What I wanted to know since most ST classes don't allow alterations to boost levels if anyone had had their car tuned, or if there is an off the shelf tune out there that doesn't adjust boost levels. If anyone has I would like to see their power and torque numbers. I know most tuners do add boost so its gets hard to find a tune that hasn't had the boost tables altered in some way. Any help would be nice. Thanks guys!!

Dunno how'd anyone would tell our boost stock varies so greatly it's impossible to give a fair reading really. I've seen anywhere from 14 psi to 23 psi stock.

It was designed to always make 260wheel tq and it managed that with boost. Alright that’s good to know, thank you!

so good news. I guess i missed the fact they changed the rule that allows adding boost to the car!
With that said if anyone knows what this car will make with some mods such as catted down pipe catback exhaust intake I know every tuner is different but wanted to get an idea on the power and torque numbers this car can make on such mods with regular 91/93 pump gas. thanks for the help again guy!

305 to 320whp seems to be the normal range for bolt-ons and a 93 tune. This is with a safer side tune mind you. If you have an M6 could go higher but with the A8 your limited on tables til you unlock the TCM.

I would love to see the turbo Camaro finally classed in ST! although with out hard data proving otherwise I cant see getting classed in anything but STU. our twin the ATS is already classed there as well.
Maybe I'm wrong? Apex, is there any other information youre looking for? I'm running DS with the NW region. |

The issue with the ATS is im not sure it could fit an 11" wide wheel but if anyone has any info to that it would help. Im not sure why it doesnt get an ST class with the mustang turbo is in STU and has the same power adder and wheel and tire options as the camaro.

Ive seen some guys running 11"wheels on an ATS coupe over on the Cadillac forums, but the sedan doesn't have nearly as much room apperantly.
The coupe is 1" wider, so that might be helping some. Atleast from what I saw, there is no differentiation between the coupe and sedan in the SCCA appendix. |

This was the link I found... They are talking about ATS-V's specifically but I don't think there are any dimensional differences between the V and non-V cars.
Someone with a coupe specifically mentions using a drag radial in 315/30-18 on a 10.75" wheel. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...-fit-rear.html |
