What year GTI did you get? I’ve had a few GTIs/GLIs over the years and a Camaro, Trans Am, or G8 for the summer. Also had a golf sports wagon for a spell but the left over 17 GTI was a steal when the MK7.5 came out.

I've got a 2015 autobahn, but no PP. I wanted the PP, but found this one for 17.5k, so I jumped on it. Was a steal! Used to have a Sportwagen TDI and Golf TDI. I had a 370z a few years ago, and that was the only sports car other than the camaro now.

I love the MK7. Had a 15 autobahn in silver. Never had a TDI thou I loved the gas wagon.

Do you have obd11 or vag com? I have OBD11, if you ever wanna borrrow it.

I do all my own work....it’s too expensive to pay someone else. If I had a dyno, I’d tune it myself. I need more time then I have when at the track.

My daughter and I both race out at Byron. I’ll proba hit up GLD a few times this year.

I hear ya, I like wrenchin on them myself as well.

Thats cool you race with your daughter. I signed my daughter up for her first HPDE event this June, can't wait to see how she does.

I’m lucky, honestly. She’s not old enough for a full size car yet, so she’s got a JR dragster she’s going to campaign. Lol. The oldest, who is going off to college, has no interest in multiple horsepower....she has her one, four legged version.

Ha, my daughter loves the four legged ones as well, started riding at 4, hasn't been on one since she went off to college last year, but still loves them.
JR dragster is the real deal, good for her and you. I miss the 1/4 mile, did a lot of that in the mid 80's, early 90's at GLD.
Always wanted to road race, so going to give that some time and effort (and $$$) see where that leads.

Mine most certainly likes to drive more than wrench, but she wants to learn and know what everything is and does. We pulled the motor on her 69 Z/28 a couple of winters ago, broke it down and rebuilt it. We really had a good time working on it together.
