I would try to check the connections in that area and possibly resolder.
This post shows some photos of the whole thing. Your impacted area appears to be lower left in the first photo, and lower right in the second. Just based on proximity, I'd be worried about how those devices affect the brown connector. since brown male goes to brown female, that would be the x4 connector which is communication with car's main data buses.

Thanks for the links, I cleaned everything, I have no sound, I think the amp is faulty.
Should the amp be reprogrammed if it is changed?

If you find a new (or used) amp you may need dealer software to "marry" it to the car.

EDIT: Looking on ebay there are (not unexpectedly) several part numbers for the Bose amp. You will need to look at underside of amp to get that number. I'm wondering if you buy a new one (some model numbers are cheaper than others), you may not have to unlock it using the donor VIN as you would with a used amp.

AND...
From what I read on other forums, a new amp is plug-and-play. A used amp needs to be unlocked.

I went to a US car dealership, they swapped my car's Bose amp for an amp from a Camaro that was there for maintenance.
The radio worked, my amp died, so as long as the amp has the same serial number it shouldn't be programmed with the car,

So you got one that works, or now you have to search?

If I took my car to a dealership and they "borrowed" any of my parts to try to diagnose someone else's nightmare I'd be F*(K1NG PISSED! No guarantee the "borrowed" part(s) don't get messed up and they fail on the unsuspecting customer later on, who then has to pay for it because the dealership will deny anything and everything! Wow, just wow.

Surprised any reputable Chevrolet dealership would do this (but it does not specify, only "US car dealership", so I assume it is a Chevrolet dealership).. I am sure there is more to this story that is being told here. The liability is enormous for this dealership.....

Why not just take it to a Chevrolet dealership and fix all these problems and be done with this thread?

Since he is in Belgium, I'm guessing they are dealing with limited parts and resources. As to why dealer is not fixing the car, probably because it is cheaper if he fixes it himself. Dealer will probably refuse warranty coverage due to water intrusion.
Don't mind this thread one bit. Eventually we will all be out of warranty and may need to buy modules off ebay.

Makes sense.. spend 10 dollars to save one

If you can't afford a camaro, go buy a mustang

what is with all the shade being thrown? No doubt the Camaro can be afforded because I'm sure it is at a hell of a premium compared to here. Other countries are not the same as the US and have Chevrolet dealers on every corner.

The other post was correct, parts are limited, they have to make do with what they have. Not a fan of swapping parts from customer's cars though, but it is what it is.

The parts had the same number and it was just the amplification that had problems, the rest worked normally, the failure was only due to the amplifier.

Replace a part with another that are exactly the same, I don't see where the problem is.
In Europe, there is no longer a Chevrolet dealer, Opel is taken over by GM, which in theory must take over Chevrolet.

New parts in Europe are impossible to find, you have to order in the USA, there are no more Chevrolet dealers in Europe and the warranty is three years.

It's not to save repairs, if I order a part that I know how to replace myself, why go to a repairer, you go to your dealer to replace a fuse? Unless you have two left hands, you do it yourself!
I replaced my fuse box, there is a "dealer" in Luxembourg, a fuse box, 600$ and 5 to 6 weeks to have it, ordered in the USA, all costs, 152$ and received in 15 days .
Do you think I spend $10 to save $1?
Don't say anything without knowing!

The Camaro in Europe costs + or - $4000 more than in the USA.
It is no longer imported, so no more parts, if you want one, you have to order it in the USA and take all the steps to ensure that it meets European standards.

The problem is, a dealer took a part THAT DID NOT BELONG TO THEM, and used it to diagnose someone else's car. Your car. You only know that the problem was amplification AFTER they did so. There was no guarantee that installing the other amp could have fried it, then the OTHER guy ends up with a shitshow problem (in Europe, where HE will have a hard time fixing it too). The only way to properly test electronics is using a test procedure, on a bench, with the proper equipment. That dealer took a chance with SOMEONE ELSE'S property. I get it's Europe. I get there are no Chevy dealers there. I get your dilemma, but that's the chance you take owning a car in a place where there's little to no tech support for it.
