Non ZL1 owners input
I have been trying to research removing the secondary cats on my Zl1 and I find that all the input is from non ZL1 camaro owners in the ZL1 FORUM, no disrespect intended, but they are too differant animals. Most of the comments said that after removing the secondarys that they are experiencing flat spots in torque between 1800 & 2400 RPMs and have slower 60 ft. times. I would like to get the opinion of ZL1 owners. Sort of like apples to apples. I would appreciate any help.

Are we talking just removing the secondary cats and keeping the rest of the exhaust stock? Having an axle back? Tune or no tune?
I personally have not removed cats yet as I still have alittle less than a year on my warranty. Once its up im going full exhaust / no cats / tune. |

I did it on my ZL1. Absolutely no issues. Better sound.

I removed my ZL1 secondaries with performance link pipes and there are no flat spots in the torque curve.

Deeper rumble
Thank you for your input.. I have a Flowmaster American Thunder axleback with NPP and a Flowmaster resonator delete scavenger X pipe. With the #51 fuse pulled. Sounds Awsome. I will delete the secondary cats to try and get a deeper rumble. My neighbors already hate me so it won't matter.. (old school street racer 73 yes old)
