Holy corrosion batman, how does a new spring get that badly corroded over a few years?

Sorry to hear about your troubles, that sucks dude.

WTF is packed in the upper coils? That's likely what caused the break. The upper coil couldn't move, so *all* the suspension travel was in the bottom of the spring.

Thin tape. Would not effect travel of spring

Sure looks like hard-packed sand, or cement to me....

Not surprised at all. My BMR rear anti-roll bar's powder coating is poor quality and the steel is rusting.

Hopefully no additional damage and spring will be replaced under BMR's lifetime warranty.

Wow I have never seen springs break like that.

I always wondered about the quality of some of these newer companies. I don't know how long BMR has been around for. Generally, they seem to be reputable online on forums. But they are reviews from owners shortly after getting them installed.

Seems like they are not to the level of Eibach or H&R, in terms of quality. Had past cars with Eibach that I drove through salty winters for several years, and never has issues.
Bought them used, had them on the car for like 7 years, and then sold them again no problem.
