Im over 36,000 miles. I’m at 47k! And I have called GM and I was told the same thing about my vin # not being on the service bulletin. She was trying to contact my dealer to set up a time for me to take it in, but again I was going to be charged $70 just to have it looked at. Sure $70 is better than $1800, but it’s the principle behind the whole situation. I’m just going to have to pay the $70 I guess. I’m sure I’ll be told that it’s still my responsibility to pay for the repair. This dealership denied my claim on my wheels peeling. And the vehicle was still under warranty at the time! So go figure. I’ll call GM again and maybe, hopefully, someone will help me. Thanks for the responses and help.

Ahh well there's that. Sorry you're out of warranty.

Ask around and find the best local convertible top shop and have them fix it. They won't charge you to look at it. The dealer will just farm it out the to same shop, and charge you a few hondo$ more for their trouble.

Mine top is scheduled to be replaced next week. They are taking it to a custom shop. I asked them to look at it while it was in for scheduled service. No fuss at all. I will update after replacement.

Well I’m at 41k and mine is starting to peal. Looks like I’ll have to pay to 2000$ they want to fix it.

My turn...

I'm always nervous bringing my car into the dealership especially for non-typical work.

Keeping my fingers crossed they don't screw something up. I'll post up after the work is completed.

Glad to hear it went well! The dealer ordered my top last Friday and it came in today. Dropping my car off tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed it works out!

Dealer said it's only a half-day effort but we'll see. I'm also having the Top Not Secure issue taken care of at the same time.

Picked up my car today. Took the dealer longer than planned as they needed to order new front & rear weatherstrips for the top. Work looks good but I'll get a better look when I was my car this weekend.

BTW, not surprised but there were fingerprints all over the body and rear window.

They put details on the work performed in the repair order I received.

Still have the Top Not Secure issue even though they fixed it. It worked a couple of times just fine, but it started acting up again!

Uh-oh...this isn't a re-post of a previous picture. This is a picture of my replacement top that I've only had for a 4 1/2 months.

Has anyone gone thru 2 replacements for the rear window delamination?

Back to the dealership...

17500 Miles Washed my car yesterday and looks like mine is starting on top left corner(Driver Side) and bottom right corner(Passenger Side), I really like my car but now I am really worried about long term maintenance. Does this mean that if my rear windshield gets smashed I have to replace the whole top? that would suck so bad, why cant they just fix the window without replacing the top?

I'm not sure there is a replacement part for just the rear window. BTW, the delamination is a known TSB. My entire top was replaced twice under warranty.

Hopefully, you are still under warranty, if not I would see if the dealer is willing to work with you on a replacement top.

Can I ask, do you drive with the top up and the windows down? I typically don’t, if the tops not down, then the weatherman made a mistake.

With glass delaminating on multiple verts, multiple times, makes me wonder if that’s the cause. You should be able to drive top up, windows down and not lose rear glass. What a PIA.

Good luck..
