What kind of increase do you think you will see with the new engine over the stock one?
thanks i think it should do pretty well too. I would like to see at least double the boost pressure than before. it was around 8-10psi b4.

thank you. Should be able to have it fired up in about 1 week as long as no other surprises come up. You know how that goes though haha

thanks dude; i'll keep uploading good content for people to use as reference.

the bmr motor mounts arrived today. I should be able to start swinging in the new motor into the car tomorrow..

I have my hands full this winter with another turbo car to work on. My friend has a 1200rwhp hellion 2016 stang that broke on the dyno. unfortunately the front of the crank snapped so it will be a challenging re-build. I told him my toy comes first though hehe

sorry for the ford porn, back to chevy in a moment.

got the motor installed and three bell-housing bolts tight. also had time to draw on the harmonic balancer too. had to play around with the bmr motor mounts a little but got them all sorted out and the engine is sitting properly in the bay.

tomorrow i'll finish the bell-housing/torque converter & crank bolt(s)

also i included an image below of where i installed the PFI fuel pump. the outlet hose is temporary to stop the tank frOM leaking. i haven't finished running the feed/return lines.

can you tell I like green?

Got the car started. Runs good so far. Major exhaust leaks per usual. When I tried to correct them one of the vbands snapped. Gotta wait for it to arrive..

The 4” to 3.5” coupler will be here soon for the lt5 throttle body.

While waiting for parts I finished the pfi fuel system and checked for leaks. All is well! Happy Super Bowl Sunday

The weather is starting to get better and I will be heading to the track in a couple of weeks. I did get the mbrp axle backs installed yesterday and they sound pretty good.

Next up is the dss axles

Been real busy lately but a lot has happened over the last couple of weeks.

1. left hand catch can got full of condensation and the car blew out the rear main seal. had to pull the transmission to remedy the leak.
2. was a super pain to install the rear axles but the job is completed.
3. The car had false knock issues with the tuning i was doing. consulted Ted Janetty again to whip me up a better tune to work with and have it play friendly with the MS3 pro. we are making seriously good progress and the car runs like a scalded ass ape on E70 with roughly just 15 degrees of timing... Will have track times VERY soon as long as everything keeps going our way!
4. got the front forgestar wheels ordered but they're taking forever to show up.

keep ya'll posted with the results.

made it to the track with only a few minutes to spare. i did a real quick burnout and didnt brake boost it at all and it went 10.02@146

with competitive launch and a better burnout with a little more boost i'd expect to see a 9.8 with the 17" wheel

Very nice time, especially doing it hurried. Looking forward to seeing it break under 10.

update? Is it worth the $200 for the BMR motor mounts? Do you notice a dif with them? Is the engine in the same location as the factory mounts?

I have them and like them. Motor is in the same spot. It opens up some space, saves a few lbs, keeps the motor from moving around as much. I am sure there is more vibration but I can’t tell. I have the poly ones not the solid ones.
