2016+ Transmission/Differential Information

I started this to try to figure out which diff's had LSD but got carried away. The 10L60 has almost no information online, I'm not sure about the 10-speed gear ratios as I got the 10L80 and 10L90 from gm's own information site and the 10L60 I got from a random website. It's making me question myself since they're the exact same but maybe someone who knows more can verify.

Posting this solely for if someone in the future is interested in swapping rear diffs or wants information on the transmissions so they can easily tell instead of doing what I did and scrounge through old topics and spec sheets.

If you notice an error, please let me know so I can fix it

File link for interaction

Nice chart. I don’t believe the eLSD differential was ever offered on a 6th Gen convertible because it doesn’t fit. I believe the ZL1 convertibles received the same differentials as their SS counterparts (automatic or manual). To make it more confusing I don’t think the differential is cooled on SS convertibles but it is on the ZL1. Lots of variations.

This is fantastic work, thanks Bumbleboy92. I believe you need to open another "dimension" for non-ZL1 cars, the 1LE package bumps each diff up one notch, so LSD becomes eLSD and non-LSD becomes LSD on 1LE cars. One exception is the M6 I4/V6 1LE, it retains the standard LSD (I think).

OP - The SS 1LE has the M6 with eLSD.

The Convertible ZL1 does not have a eLSD.

Awesome

One more thing, the TR6060 manual transmission actually comes in 3 variants (SS, ZL1, ZL1 1LE) with different gear ratios on the Camaro, please see my post based on the service manual here: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...13&postcount=2

Oh, and black text aganst the dark blue background in your table is almost illegible.

Yeah I changed the blue to a slightly lighter shade, will definitely check and add your post specs!

Edit: updated with slightly better text color and the gear ratios you had! Also switched to an Imgur link instead of a file as it's less blurry

Great information Bumble Boy! It’s now easy to see how each version Camaro has different drive components.

So the LT1 package has a 3.27 gear ratio? This seems like it would be the perfect differential swap for a 2.77 SS instead of having to swap the SS 3.73 TR6060 differential. I guess you wouldn't have the hole threads for the oil cooler fittings though unless you drilled the case and tapped it.

Looks like the same 2.77 final drive ratio on the LT1, same as the SS, if you follow the dark blue column to the bottom.

Oh yeah my bad, I guess the 2.0 has the 3.27. I haven't heard of anyone swapping their SS 2.77 to a 3.27 from a 2.0, not sure how much weaker theyy are? The 3.77 from the V8 manuals seems like it would be way to low of a first gear to me given how hard it already is getting the TCM to shift correctly at WOT from 1 to 2nd without hitting the rev limiter.

The 3.73 gear set might make sense for an NA, high revving, car I’d guess. But once you make big power I suspect you’d run out of gear before the quarter (and have to shift into 6th).

I’ve only seen v6 guys going for the 3.27 from the 2.0’s. That was the whole reasoning behind me making this actually as I had to keep looking up what models had the right gear lol
