What "detailing" did you do today?

Why not? Seems like we are always going OT or start talking about different products than the subject, and most of us are working with our other carsand like trying different stuff so....

What did you do with your detailing hobby/obsession today?

Just got back from a 200 mile trip across alligator Alley and hit some bugs, so I took it to a touchless wash after wiping the front end down with ech20 rinseless, then came home and did a quick wipe down with the carpro“reload magic elixir” mix we have discussed here…

Wheels were done a few weeks ago with Hydro2, so nothing done there....

I have my annual orbital/strip/finishing polish procedure coming up in about two months…

Lots of bugs on front area. Used rainx waterless wash as a quick detailer to remove them. They came off very easily thanks to the Meguiar's hcw on the car.

Just a quick cleaning with my new blower to clean off pollen, then since pollen is almost gone and was light, detailed with the Reload/Ech20 detailer, cleaned up the wheels a littl as well with the same detailer with a wheel towel...just waiting for the pollen to fully go away, then I have to strip down and polish my Camaro, Reload/Hydro2 the wheels, then it is on to my Equinox, no polish just Reload/Hydro2 for the wheels, since I did that in the fall. I alternate the 2 vehicles, one i fall and the in spring.

Gave The Mistress a two-bucket wash with Adams car shampoo and a Chemical Guys chenille wash mit. Did the wheels with a low pile MF towel and grille with a CG gerbil brush https://www.chemicalguys.com/gerbil-...h/ACC_B01.html which are really great for getting into the narrow spaces around the grille, and they don’t scratch or spray like the bristle style brushes.

Pooling rinse and a blow dry with my new toy: a kobalt 80v blower, which is perfect for the job. Finished with a guzzler waffle weave towel and got the drips with a Rag Co. Eagle edgeless 500 gsm plush MF towel and a bit of diluted Reload/ech2o quick detail elixir.

Bought another microfiber towel......Carpro's new DHydrate drying towel......I have hundreds of towels already......but being a microfiber junkie, I just have to try the "latest and greatest".

Also will be trying Adam's new Wash & Coat to compare to Carpro Hydrofoam (which is a favorite of mine). Hydrofoam lasts 3 months and is easy to use. Will see how Adams compares. I'm a big fan of products that do more than 1 thing at a time....and do them well..... Will see how Adam's stacks up...it has big shoes to fill.

What "detailing" did you do today?

Gave it a wipe down with Adams new ceramic waterless wash after attending cars and coffee at graham rahal performance.

I grabbed a donut for my daughter. In the process of driving home between my son holding it and my driving I had sprinkles all over the car so when I got home I vacuumed it out

Pre vacuum (car is ruined lol)

Give us a review of that DHydrate towel once you try it out!

Carpro is unveiling something this week, from the blurry picture looks like an update Cquartz.

Ryan, are you going to switch to the Z26 pads? They are so easy to change out it won't take long to swap back for a track day.

It has been supposed to rain for the last 3 days and was supposed to rain for the next week but nothing is really happening, beside a random drop of water every few hours so I give up and am washing the cars today. Which means it will probably pour later.

I will, though I will probably do it over on the Camaro5 forum. I will want to use it for at least 12 washes before doing a review, so it will be a few months.

I recently did a review of the Adams Ultra Plush Drying Towel, and the Adams Wash & Coat on the C5 forums if you want to check them out.

Nah with the graphite wheels it’s hard to really see the brake dust. Plus the wheels are ceramic coated and cleanup really easy

Got some new supplies today(M105, M110, M210, D166, and D155, and new cutting and polishing da pads) and then stopped myself from buying more just because of a sale. Have to correct a square foot this weekend on the Mazda, one of the kids was constantly using one hand to push off the quarter when opening the rear door.

You are going to love the D166. M110 and 210 are good too. They finish like oil, no dusting.

I worked today at a dealership doing contract work cleaning trade ins.
