Top Operation

The owners manual instructs to operate the top with the engine running, which is what I have been doing. Does everyone follow this advice or do some operate the top with engine off?

I usually do the remote start before I do the remote top down.

I operate the top with the engine off, mainly when I am cleaning the car or doing some maintenance to the top.

I operate with engine off. I figure if GM wanted it to be engine running required, they would have programmed it that way.

I too like the remote down. And i like the "up to 25 mph" to operate the top.

I really wish for remote UP

Wait (literally just got home with my new-to-me 2016), the key fob only puts the top DOWN not UP?

(Yes, I know my IROC is not a 5th nor a 6th gen. I'm here as I am thinking about a newer convertible and I know from experience most of the Camaro forum members are helpful and understanding.... right?!?)
