Here's a video from my local Boeing Sport Car Club event yesterday:
.

I'm not in apexit's league, but I still took fourth in pax and third in raw time out of 59 entrants. The three that out-paxed me are legit better drivers, so I'm not too unhappy about that. The two that beat my raw times were in Super Street Porsches, so I'm not crying about that at all (and they were two of the three that out-paxed me). That said, I still goobered up the final slalom and left time on the table that could have bumped me further up the standings. It was my second dry event in the car, and it's showroom stock except for an alignment. That includes the stock Goodyears. I think that's an amazing thing to say about any car, much less one at this price point!

Wow, Mike, that is impressive! I always seemed to struggle with putting power down consistently on my 2017 SS1LE, although it was better after the diff recal. It looks like it was hooking up well. Looks like a fun course.
Congrats

Hi all, new to Camaro world. Sold my STU STI and grabbed a 20 SS 1LE for BS. I've ordered 19" wheels, but everything else is in the air. Is there a clear consensus on sway bar and tire selection? What is the typical setting for the TC/PTM stuff? Turn it all off? I read the thread, but it's a long and winding storyline :P

For me i run all off. Ive only run with a stock sway bar so far but i have the BMR isnalled for this weekends pro.

I like the bridgestone but thats me. They also make the BFG in 1le size so whatever tire you like Have fun and good luck!

Is the goodyear option not worth trying? Just too slow? Several viable sizes in 19 and the tire stagger can be maintained.

I got beat by an M2 on goodyears my first event this year. its defenetly within the noise! One thing i was told though is you have to get the non OEM goodyear super car three, but if youre on 19" youre fine!

For me personally ive been on the RE71R since it came out. I know the tire very well so going to a new car its one less variable i need to worry about.

I’ve settled on Track mode with all nannies off. I'm doing the exact same thing on the front sway bar if my BMR arrives in time for me to install it Saturday. I've been on the fence, because the car is really close to perfectly balanced, and because the slight oversteer I sometimes get seems to be more related to power-on oversteer* than to the inherent cornering balance of the suspension. The nice thing about the BMR bar is that it's softest setting is only 6% stiffer than stock 1LE, so if want the balance back to stock I don't have to take it off.

One option that may be available later this year is the new Falken RT660 in 305/30/19 and 315/30/19 sizes. An early GRM test by Whitener and Hollis indicated that they are even with the RE71R for autocross performance, but we'll see. If they are, then that staggered fitment might be a slightly better match to our wheel widths than a square 305 setup.

*I’m guessing this is the eLSD trying to get me out of the corner as efficiently and with as little understeer as possible, and it does seem to accomplish that.

I'm likely to try the new Falkens once these Rivals are done. There's an SSC driver in my club that's already bought them, so they'll be the guinea pig.

Let me know if you guys have any problems with the BMR bushings just from autocross. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=576751 I don't think you will and it will definitely need a full season of testing, but just sharing my thread as an FYI from track experience.

I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on the FSB. I had stupidly put my Hotchkiss bar on before I ever autocrossed the car so I don't even know what it feels like on the stock front bar.

Thats why i run mine stock before changing things. I like to know how the change will affect it.

Yeah ive heard they are about .3 off the RE71R. It sounds bad but i dont trust the grassroots tests. Main reason is they have for years been saying the BFG is fast and im sure it is in some cases but nats every year it seems the RE has been faster. BFG is on their second or third iteration? Just me though. I like the sharpness and forward grip of the RE
