Agreed- KNS will get you the right Hawk pads. Many retailers will tell you a HB649 is the ZL1 pad- it isn’t. 649 (universal pad shape) is what fits SS 1LE, ZL1 has additional 20mm of surface over SS 1LE

Ken's great but TireRack is about $40 cheaper than Ken right now. Their website doesn't always give all the info so you may have to call

Tire rack will sell you SS 1LE pads for a ZL1. 649’s are not ZL1 spec

I don't believe Hawk actually makes a ZL1 (1LE) specific pad. The only one selling a specific pad to these cars is KNS brakes because they are a custom backing plate.

For those of you who have made this switch - are you happy?

Is there a performance improvement when you go to the DTC-70 pads?

And, did you go 70/70 or 70/60 or 70/Stock?

I'm very happy so far. Very responsive and no noise even on the street. I went 70/60. Haven't really noticed any exceptional dust but with black wheels it hides well.
