Yeah, did put it in snow/ice mode, but kept it below 50 in the worst of it. Since I’m never gonna track it, I probably will out AS on it when it’s time to change ‘em.

As far as evacuating water goes, tread design as well as tread depth has a lot to do with it. Water depth and speed are the other two big factors. Proper tire inflation is also very important. An underinflated tire will hydroplane much more readily. A wider tire means the tire has a bigger job evacuating the water under the tire to the outside. This is why performance cars with wider tires are more problematic with hydroplaning. |
