Rally stripe care and feeding?

I want to make sure I don’t mess up, and I want to protect my strips.....
I have a 17 SS FIFTY, and the main center vinyl stripe is matte gray.
The cautions on the back of the Maguires spray on wax tell me NOT to apply it on matte or flat surfaces.
I imagine it would maybe leave a white residue?...
my main concern is protecting those stripes so they don’t fade or peel....
Any tips?
Thank you

Never wax vinyl especially matte colors.

I believe Adams sells a product specially for vinyl. In fact I need to get some for my new car.

I use Meguiars Quik Detailer on my stripes. I had a 2011 2SS with Cyber Grey factory stripes on it for almost 8 years and never had a problem with them at all. I even claybarred them and they stood up just fine. Remained really slick and glossy the whole time. I've even used Meguiars Scratch X to remove etching from bird poop on the vinyl stripes, and yes, it does work!!!

I now have matte black stripes on my new Camaro and still, even today, I used Meguiars Quik Detailer on them and they are doing just fine.

Definitely no wax on matte surface. There are specific products out there. But...
It’s best practice to never try and wipe down any surface, let alone a matte wrap surface, without some sort of cleaner or lubricant. Having a quick detail spray allows you to clean up soft contaminants like finger prints, fresh bird droppings, and dust without risking damage to the surface.

I put Wax on my gray vinyl stripes when I had my 11' Camaro.
