Weathertech?

Has anyone installed the Weathertech floor liner in their Camaro? Pros and cons?

I have a set of Husky floor liners front and back for my GMC Sierra. Custom fit for the truck. They do good. Hold the water. Not slippery when wet.

No experience with them in a Camaro; mine never sees the rain.

Good luck

I had (still have) Weathertech floor mats and trunk mat in my 2016 Camaro SS. There are some that think the mat is too short and doesn't come up close enough to the seat. For me, they were very good. Lots of rain down here in South Louisiana and they worked,

The ZL1 doesn't see as much rain and it came with the all-weather mats. I have the Weathertech in the garage.

I have them in my truck and they're great. I'm wondering if they'll fit as well for the Camaro.

I had a pair weathertechs in my Camaro and took them out. Sold them. The driver side weathertech does not come back all the way to the edge of the seat, there is still a large portion of the carpet exposed. Put in a set of Lloyd's ultimats.....

Agree. While the Weathertechs do a great job containing water, the driver's side needs to come back farther for spills. The short side still works for dirt and water coverage from my feet, for me.

I had them in my Gen5, and loved them. So I have now in my Gen6 ZL1, they work great. They look good, and I no longer have to care whats on my feet when I get in the car. Also installed the trunk mat, so when I haul anything(groceries)..if there is a spill it wont hurt anything.

Take a look at these - MAXpider

https://www.amazon.com/3D-MAXpider-C.../dp/B01HEUSLLS

They fit great and have good coverage. The only issue is the grommet attachments are a little too small and you just have to take a tab or two out of the snap in hole underneath. Love mine.

I have the same issue with the Drivers side being short and the passenger side kept moving around. I contacted Weathertech about both, they told me they will look into the drivers side length and then they sent me velcro pieces to help secure the passenger side. I've had no more issues since adding the velcro.

Thanks for the responses and advice guys. I'm more concerned with the schmutz from my feet getting on the carpeting than spills. Ordering now...

In my opinion they are better than nothing but they all drop the ball in favor of saving a dimes worth of material. None of them in any vehicle cover all they should. Cover maybe a 1/3 of the foot rest, I guess most of the top part of your foot doesn’t get wet/dirty. Side near gas petal and by sill plate need to be higher. Also none of the back sides have much of a lip so when all the snow melts and you hit the gas the water goes over the back lip getting carpet wet. This isn’t a Camaro only issue. All brands of liners on all vehicles do this. But yes I still buy them except the carmaro which is parked in the winter.

This is the GM performance Mat but the weathertech is the same, if this space is OK for you not to be covered and where you heels can make contact. , buy it. it's not OK with me.

In discussions with the weather tech (WT) what I told them is the advantage of the WT is you can pull out the whole mat because it has raised sides, shake it out and put it back. Not so with the camaro WT...You need to take it out, and then get out the vacumn and do the area that's not covered, defeats the whole idea of WT coverage. I bought WT's for my C7, they were perfect, went all the way back to seat....lift out, shake, re-insert.....done.
