First of all Im not part of a blog or vlog Lol I just own a Camaro like you. Secondly, what evidence is there that they would make this engine? The only time that engine has been used was in the c7.R and its 490 hp.

I'm using common sense

If GM is employing really brilliant, highly skilled, highly talented engineers, from my experience, if you tell and engineer it can't be done he will work infinitely to either prove you wrong or prove that it is in fact highly unlikely.

Article sounds shady, I would like to keep seeing the torque monsters coming like a revamped 427 or 454 with 575-600hp should be feasible.

BS. We would be very lucky to see a 545+hp NA engine.

I think they call it better heads, better lighter rotator and better induction combined with rpm's.

So, they (this article) are trying to convince us that there will be an LT6 that is 5.5L N/A FPC engine that produces over 700 HP? That would take somewhere in the 9000 RPM range. Ford is struggling to get a 5.2L N/A FPC that revs to 8250 that doesn't vibrate itself to death. This would be a difficult task indeed. Not very likely.

Then add to that, we are supposed to believe that they will twin turbo that engine for the LT7?

Not to mention this contradicts the LT5 theory. Truck Trend was talking about an LT5 that would go in the mid-engined vette, possibly Camaro, and eventually big trucks and SUV's.

Oh, and wait, then there is this:

" We’re estimating the sequence could begin with a Z/28 for the 2019 model year and continue with the C8 Corvette Z06 shortly thereafter."

So we are supposed to believe the Camaro will get this beating-Ferarri-at-their-own-game engine before the vette?

I want what they are smoking. Sure gives them happy dreams...

I think all of you negative folk here need to step back. Obviously you have never worked for a major American corporation where people are highly paid to run over their mothers to beat the competition. As a corporate lawyer I have dealt with these people for years. And they will stop at nothing to make money and/or beat their competitors. And nowhere is this more evident than in the auto world. Remember GM's ignition switch atrocity? We represented a family who lost their daughter over a Mickey Mouse $5 part. She was just starting out in her life and it ended. Many at GM knew of this and did nothing to stop it in the name of money.

Look at the prototype pic in this article. It is indeed the next Z/28. The bragging rights game regarding HP and speed is on. And I guarantee you the folks at GM will stop at nothing to achieve those chest pounding specs in their muscle machines.

Seriously, they are delusional. They'd fit right in with a lot of theorists here
