2017 1LE Front Brake Pads

Hey guys I recently bought a 2017 1LE, just yesterday I started hearing a metal on metal sound coming from the front brakes. I did a quick visual inspection and noticed the inside of the brake pad is riding on the area inside the contact area of the rotor (see picture). I’m not sure this car is safe to drive around until I figure out what’s going on here.

Any thoughts?

Are your two retaining pins in? Need a pic of the top of the caliper. Also, there is an anti-rattle spring that has to be installed in the correct direction, held in by the two pins. Check these two things.
