It's not a factory authorized one, that's for sure - it was a dealer bundling about $500 worth of crap together with a 3rd party extended warranty so that they could try to justify marking up the car by 4 grand.

Never got a chance to test fit the new wheels with tires mounted. Woke up early today and got that done and we’re all ready to drop the car off tomorrow.

Filled my tank for the first time today. Total mileage is now 346. 326 miles on 16.768 gallons for a first tank average of 19.44 MPG. Still working on break in, so I think this is pretty good.

I also ordered a dash cam today. Viofo A129 Plus Duo. Research showed it to have good features and video quality in the mid-level price range.

I also think I have my old Gen 5 Camaro sold. Assuming the buyer shows up tomorrow with the agreed-upon price. Will miss it.

If you are worried about gas mileage, you bought the wrong car...

If you are going to miss your 5th Gen, you haven't gotten to know your 6th Gen well enough yet... You won't miss the 5th Gen very long...

Agree to an extent - gas mileage is not a make or break factor, and I love hearing it roar way more than when I save a few pennies. That being said, it is fun to see what it is capable of in terms frugality. It's my daily driver so to go from 11-12mpg to 16-17 when I really think about it is almost like playing a game. Also when I do a work trip and see how close to 30mpg I can average. Something to do and saves a few pennies.

But 95% I prefer to let it rip and pay at the pump for the fun.

I didn't say I was worried about gas mileage, or paying for premium gas. I just found it interesting and I'm a data guy, so my "fleet gas mileage" spreadsheet is for my own entertainment purposes.

For example, my 2002 Ford F150 4x4 with 5.4 Triton V8 has been in my fleet only since June. And the BEST it has ever gotten is about 13.4 MPG! The RAV4 Hybrid gets between 36 and 41 depending on weather/temp and if it was a tank with long freeway trips (the hybrid gets better mileage in warm weather and city-type driving).

My Gen 5 has been my daily driver since October 2009. 12 years and nearly 132 thousand miles. Yeah. I'm gonna miss it. Loving the LT1 though! Can't wait until it is nicely broken in and I can drive it how I want to!

Was able to pull my first 60-130mph run on a legit private road. Only did it once and got a 3.68s. So, that was awesome. Had a 1.4s 0-60, but I've had plenty of those, never been able to do an "up top-ish" pull though. It was fun.

Thanks, I went back and forth about it and my tint guys had good advice about keeping it light with the Camaro having smaller windows then my last car. It looks dark from the outside but light on the inside so I can still see out well.

Good move, make sure you do NOT park near any sprinklers that may suddenly turn on... You can't let any ground water sit on the ceramic coating or you'll get some nasty water spotting...
