Hmm, maybe. This is the test I had in my mind when I wrote the above text:

C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.6 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.5 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 13.6 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.8 sec @ 124 mph
Top speed (drag ltd, mfr's claim): 200 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 149 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.98 g

That was a 2016 test. I didn't realize they also later tested a 2018 CTS-V that was slower:

12.0 @ 121 mph.

Anyway, I think my point still stands that a 472 hp CT4 Blackwing won't be very close to a CT5 Blackwing in performance, at least in a straight line.

Right, and the ATS-V would run low 12's so it was very close. The acceleration is going to be a lot closer than it should be for the claimed power difference. The Caddy won't keep up with the E63S amg or the M5 competition in a straight line. Last I checked, those were it's competitors.

Unless they really did something special to combat heat soak and improve consistency. We'll have to wait and see, I really hope they did.

The LT4 heat soaks and pulls tons of power too easily. The problem is the least prevalent in the ZL1

I expect the CT5-V blackwing to only be marginally faster than the LT4 CTS-V. I wouldn't put it in the garage expecting it to be the fastest thing going. It's the car you take to a nice dinner, bring the kids to get ice cream, etc. that can still rip along pretty well when asked. Hopefully they don't delay on an 800+HP C8.

To the OP-oh yeah, well I've decided to list my house!

I want to see what living in a trailer during the winter with a stash of cash feels like...
