Am I missing something.... I am a first time new 2021 ZL1 owner but aren’t these supposed to have 650 hp and similar torque ?

I don't trust the dyno results because they are done with the hood up. That allows the open element to suck air from all around the top of the open box, a much larger area, whereas, with the hood down as when the car is driving around, there's a lot more restriction and air can only come from the inlet through the grille. That is the same for the factory closed box - it's taking air in from the inlet through the grille, without the benefit of the open box/hood up scenario. That's why I think these "CAIs" might show gains on a dyno, but when the hood is down, I bet most of the gains are negated.
I'd have to see a closed hood dyno to consider this a fair comparison. That, or a couple of back to back 60-130 runs in the same conditions to really compare performance gains. Do 3 runs stock and 3 runs w/ the rotofab and average the times for a fair comparison.

However - I bet the TM kicks in because it seems like these cars like closing the throttle around peak torque STOCK, so just adding the potential of more flow without better tuning, makes for an improved blower whine more than realizing much power potential of the CAI. If you watch and read enough dyno runs, you might come to a similar conclusion, if you haven't already. I can tell you TM and torque tuning is real and makes a difference. And it's complex, and why you pay good money for a good tuner.

I am a little suspicious of these dyno results because it shows a very low torque reading. But, it does show a sizable gain from the roto fab, so here you go. My dyno results showed zero gain, but I am sure that when I added other mods and was tuned, the increased airflow from the rotofab probably contributed to higher dyno numbers and more usable power at that point. In any event, I think the rotofab is at least a good gateway mod to more real world power as other mods are added. It does look cool and increases blower whine. To those who noticed better dyno numbers or increased power from the rotofab alone, congrats and enjoy!

You saying that doesn't make it true. Do you have actual data to back that statement up? 60-130 runs, closed hood dyno runs, etc.?

Its possible to actually lose a bit of power with the hood open with a RF.... IF you've got no fans/airflow around the intake because IAT's would go up as its sucking in hot engine air.. Stock box is pretty much opposite of this, sealed gets air from bottom. Now of course everyone who runs a dyno uses fans, but i just wanted to throw that out there because that will be the next question asking for scientific proof. Unless you want to be like Idaho2018GTPremium and do some 60-130 pulls with hood open, that be cool too. The weakest link is pretty much the stock air filter itself, not the actual intake. I never said do a 60-130 with the hood off. I said do some 60-130 runs with the stock box, then runs w/ the RF and compare times, under the same DA conditions. You're the only one that thinks I implied doing 60-130 with the hood off.
