Disappointed the 1LE has wheel hop.
I was doing some spirited driving today and my first no lift shifting.
I was to understand our toe links are solid? So just trailing arms and craddle bushings are needed? |

The toe links are ball-jointed/spherical-jointed (FE3, FE4 and FEA suspensions). The trailing links (sort of an odd name in that they are forward of the suspension) have stiffer bushings, but are still bushings at both ends. The trailing links and the cradle bushings would be the culprits to wheel hop. You can upgrade the rear hub assemblies to the FEA ones (ZL1 1LE) and get more stiffer bushings and spherical-joints at the outer ends of the trailing links. Outside of that, you'd have to go aftermarket. I'm not sure how much the cradle bushings contribute to wheel hop, but I would think not as much as the trailing links.

I owned a gen 5 1le and the trailing arms and bushings eliminated the hop.. i have not done them on the gen 6 as like others said.. not really a drag car and the labor was not easy..had to drop the cradle..

I know its not a drag car. And my gen 5 had wheel hop with upgraded trailings arms and toe links. The wheel hop stopped when I did the cradle bushings. It also handled way better too.
I am not sure how the magnetic ride control stuff would make doing the craddle any different than a 5th gen. |

In a straight line, I think they do. In cornering, I completely agree.

20 inch rims with a 30 profile and g3s do not squat like taller profile more street oriented tires .

Installed a couple of weeks ago but just recently had a chance to test out.
I was expecting more negative vibration and sound issues but that wasn't the case. Definitely more communication on what the rear of the car is doing now. As far as wheel hop I don't drag the car but did some pretty hard launches without any shop. |

That so far has been my biggest disappointment with my SS 1LE.
I'm not a drag racer either - bought the car primarily as a road course car. But boy there is some weirdness in launching this car - I'm still in the break in period, but after I passed 500 miles, and with the weather at 55F+ I tried a couple of soft but spirited launches. In each case the vibrations felt like the car would come apart. I haven't felt anything like that since my 2012 SRA Mustang. One time (smooth pavement) something ever weirder happened. During the launch it was almost like all power cut and the car felt like it would stall forcing me to dip back in the clutch. Almost like the wheels came down from a hop and "chocked" the drivetrain. Felt like it could have done some damage if it hopped again. I also found that I can never dump the clutch on moderate launches, I always have to hold half way and feather for a second or 2. Definitely need to experiment - but was not expecting it. Any one has any ideas on what to try? |

I haven't experienced any of this. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
