Drive from the dealership was nice, but being Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City, it was hard to keep it within the break-in limits. I offered to let my wife drive it home, but she declined. Afterall, even though I say "my" car, it's really ours. I would still be in the Gen 5 if it weren't for her researching local dealerships and trying to keep the dealership honest after we ordered it. That's one of the many things I love about her. She's into Camaros as much as, if not more than I am. We met because she had a 2010 Camaro SS, and I had the 2013 ZL1. That should make things a bit easier when it comes time for mods!



Wish they had a 6th gen version of that emote...

OH yea it's definitely difficult to keep it below 4k! I'm at ~200 miles already since I commute to work daily. Probably need about another month before I hit 1500.

Pretty cool that your wife is into cars as well - I think that's pretty rare. My wife is not into cars - but she said 'it's your car, get what you want' so I'm satisfied with that! Now mods - that's harder to approve haha. I'm probably going to keep mods to a minimum.

Now:
ppf - dropped the car off last night, should be ready tomorrow
ZL1addons rock guards - already bought but need to install
ZL1addons lift pads - got them but need to install
Homelink upper console with garage buttons - should be arriving today
Trunk mat - already installed
Hitch mount - bought but need to install (I mountain bike often)

Later in the Fall:
Winter wheel/tire set
Winter mat set

Later later:
Tint
Suade knee pads
Suade dash pad
maybe ZL1 door panels

I'd also like to get some type of permanent paint coating done but it might have to wait since it's pricey.

Yeah, I love the mountain views here. Need to take some good photos of the car with a mountain backdrop before she gets put away for the winter.

ZL1 addons have a grill screen we'd like to get to keep rocks out of the transmission cooler. The part that sucks about it is the front clip has to come off for installation.

Also waiting for them to make the rock guards available for the Gen 6 ZL1s. They are a bit different than the non ZL1 versions.

Tint may come soon.

XPEL will probably be a future addition to at least the CF insert, if not more. And I'll do the ceramic coating myself while it's put away for winter.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing! I very much prefer photos with backdrop of mountains rather than parking lots and building.

My car is pretty dirty, so no good pictures yet!

I just love the way the car hugs the turns on the winding canyon roads. I think the handling is better than my Gen 5 ZL1.

Congrats! Looking good! Are you going to adhere to the break-in period? I just passed 1500 miles today! Pretty excited to give it the beans tomorrow

Absolutely... at 1500 I plan on doing an oil change and eLSD fluid change. I just need to buy some race ramps first.

Has anyone tried these valves that replace the drain screw for easy oil changes? https://www.amazon.com/Fumoto-F-106N.../dp/B003T7XUE4 (NOT VERIFIED THE RIGHT SIZE.. just an example of what I am talkinga bout)
