If anyones interested, FI Interchiller installed soon.

Getting a FI interchiller installed on my ZL1 soon as this summer was brutal in NJ with heat/humidity etc. So if anyone's considering one or wants to lower their IAT's for more power ill be sure to post my review once its done. From what i've seen they completely resolve heat soak, and even the 2650's still suffer, albeit just not as bad.

Yes, they work very well except for road racing. I had the FI Interchiller Stage 1 kit on my 892whp Hellcat. This was on a 93F day.

All depends on what ambient temps are. Usually my MAT temps are 35-40F above ambient temps. On a 95F day MAT temps can be 130-140F just driving around. A pull it would actually go down a bit before going back up as your getting more air over the exchanger.

Stopping in traffic on a hot day like above, mat temps i've seen 165F +. Goes does soon as you start moving though.

Make sure your logging correct pids also.

IAT 1 = Air entering the SC (should be ambient or within a few degrees of)
IAT 2 = Some calculated value (not used on gen V)
IAT 3 = Manifold Air Temp (Air after SC entering cylinders, whats used when timing is pulled, this is what you want to log/record).

The IC should keep MAT temps below ambient, unless your in a pull 1/4 mile etc. But temps would return quick.

I would need to be driving on a 50F day highway speeds to see MAT temps of 90F. When my MAT temps are 90F i can feel a SOTP difference and my 60-130 times reflect that. So if the IC will keep temps well below ambient you should be making full power and then some at all times.

Sounds like the MAT (IAT3) is the equivalent of the IAT temp on the Hellcat, its measured after the blower going into the cylinder. You can see above how effective the FI Interchiller kit is on the Hellcat platform, I would imagine its probably pretty close on the LT4 platform also, which as you can see if VERY effective.

Yep that’s correct. ESP with the 2650 and the big cooling bricks. I’ve seen below freezing water temps on many videos.

I just need to decide if I want a trunk tank or just a bigger reservoir like the cordes or something. This car is more street then drag so not sure if it’s justified.

I’m sure though addding 5-6 gallons to the system you could probably go through a full 1/4 mile pull and barely move temps with a trunk tank.

I’m looking at this guy.

https://cordesperformanceracing.com/...mper-ice-tank/

I don’t want to mess with trunk tanks, lines run via body etc. Something like this should work nicely to add a couple gallons of capacity.

I’m on the market for a tank , I feel the chiller would need more volume to keep it cool at W0T. I’m looking for something around the engine bay so that nice .

Definitely get this for your car.

I added a CPR tank to my E-force C6 Grand Sport. Tank is excellent quality, fit perfect and added about 2-gallons of capacity. Really helps with temps and you can pack it with ice to get IC temp down rapidly.

Agreed, you don't want to do that unless you need long runs like 1/2 mile or full mile. A small 2-3 gallon capacity aux tank is enough. The downside to a larger tank too is that it takes longer to cool down the water in the loop. You have to size your coolant capacity to whatever your goal is. If your goal is short bursts like 1/4, you don't need a huge tank, and with a smaller tank, the chiller can cool it all down quicker, I didn't use an aux tank at all with my chiller and it worked just fine for 1/4 runs.

This will be just an expansion to go along with interchiller. I won’t need ice.

Apparently it takes up space where the IC goes though so I’m looking at the fender mount one now.
