Fell Victim to Caron Fiber bug again!
So I told myself I was not going to wild with the carbon fiber bug when I purchased the ZLE. Well that lasted approx 5 months, received a good deal from another member on some additional pieces. The center piece was the custom HVAC unit which apparently only a handful have been made.
I started with the GM dash piece and trim around the shifter, everything else was added from the pieces I purchased off a fellow member. My thoughts: Installation was not fun on the HVAC piece since most of the dash and console had to be removed(PIA). Everything else was easy. I was amazed at the fit of everything, seems like the car was built with it. I was worried about adding to much CF, but in this case with a white car and fair amount of CF already stock I think it worked out very well. I’m extremely happy with it. I’m not a huge fan of the shiny metallic pieces, looks blacked out now. Anyway a few pics.

Looks good.
Going just about the same route with getting rid of the chrome/plastic silver. The vent part looks killer. |

Yeah that vent piece sure compliments the whole package.
Good for you holding out for 5 months. Now that the bug has you, are there any other parts you want?

Where did you pick up the large CF accent piece that goes over the door trim (the part with the LED strip cut out)? Looks great

It’s a great piece that fits like factory. Let me know what you think when you get them.

Wanted to do the same with the chrome around the shifter but the wife talked me into doing CF on each side of the chrome, using it as a break between the two pieces for the console. It was more expensive that way, oh well. I wanted to order the screen frame like yours as well, but all they had in stock was the partial one that doesn’t cover it all the way & I think it looks cheesy that way. May have to order it from Nextgen. Only concern is I ordered the pass. side cover, lower dash kit & the start button surround, so not sure how the weaves will match. |

Just getting started with adding CF. Looks like I will have to sell my first born and pawn the wife to get anymore.

It is an awesome piece. I would like to have one, but I rarely open my hood. If my motor looked like his I probably would more just to stare at it. Last edited by gtfoxy; 08-16-2021 at 11:05 AM. |

Looks amazing! Kinda wish I didn't sell it all now that I see it all together..... I think I'm going painted route though.

I’m very happy with it, I was worried it would be to much. But after the install it’s actually very dark which I like and is not over the top. Thanks again..
