Turning off annoying weather advisories

I haven't found a way to turn off weather advisories (not alerts) in MyLink 2.5, can anyone help?

This thing collects and remembers every single advisory, then pops them up one by one the next time I drive the car, and it takes half a minute to dismiss them all, super annoying.

I have already turned off weather alerts in the weather menu, but advisories can neither be disabled nor deleted as far as I can tell, hopefully I'm overlooking something...

What is the source that broadcast the alerts?

I believe that answer is Sirius. Do you have a subscription for that service? If you do maybe you can ask them to stop pushing notifications.

Try managing your XM account online and see if you can turn that stuff off that way.

Thanks guys, these are indeed most likely being pushed to the vehicle by SXM, but I've looked at my account and there doesn't seem to be a way to fine-tune the notification types. I'll call them when I have some time to find out from a human operator what the deal is.

Regardless of that, one would hope there is a setting to disable these push notifications from within the car. After all, the marketplace or shop apps also get info pushed to them but don't pop anything up related to any updates, unless I explicitly check for them.

Sounds like you can make them go away and save $1.99 per month! A car's infotainment should never be annoying. To me that is the biggest sin in modern cars and trucks. My wife's 2019 Ford Edge puts a pop-up on the screen every time she starts it asking for a Wi-Fi connection to run an update. Are you kidding me Ford? This stuff is ridiculous.
