Now I "Get" it! Full Stainless Works exhaust finally installed! (headers back)

I've had these headers for at least 5 months I finally got them installed.

First off, this is EXACTLY the sound I was after. Even the local shop said it is by far the best sounding bolt on Camaro setup they've ever done.

Car currently only has:

Full Stainless Works 3 inch performance connect system. (Long tube headers with high flow cats, with performance connect to a Retro Chambered exhaust by SW. Tune.

Cold Air Inductions intake (black)

Vmax Ported Throttle Body.

The sound truly does remind me of my 67 at idle, very deep and such a nice deep tone. YouTube clips do NOT do it justice.

This full setup is not "pull me over loud" at all unless you WANT it to be. Under 3 k rpms it's deep but easily drivable without getting pulled over as long as you keep it mellow and don't high rev it. Only when you stab the throttle does it get really loud (but awesome sounding!).

Like others have said simply wish I would have done it sooner, but once my Ls3 hit 30k miles and with their reliability it was time

I always ran Borla on my C4 and C5 vettes as well as my 07 STI actually. I had never heard of stainless works prior to reading great things and then finally hearing the setup in person at a Camaro meet.

I actually had an uninstalled Borla Atak ready to go on but once I heard this setup on the Ls3 I knew I had to have it. The Camaro ls3's I heard in person with the Atak and long tubes were loud, but very raspy. The SW setup however is really deep and throaty even in the higher rpm range.

For those on the fence about SW I highly recommend this setup. I was sceptical as well but could NOT be happier with the sound. The Perfect sound in person, the YouTube vids are far off from what it sounds in person.

The extra power and weight savings always are good to me

Awesome post, thanks for sharing! I'm hoping to get my hands on a SW catback here before too long. That deep tone they provide is very desirable haha

It is a great sounding exhaust. You should hear it from behind you when you get on it. My buddy has it and it gets LOUD, but in a very good way. Congrats on the upgrade! It's a very nice setup and actually the full 3" exhaust surprised my buddy, me, and our tuner on the dyno with extra gains.

My car is the one pyroguy is talking about. I am soooo happy with this system. I was told by a few different vendors that I don't want the full 3 inch exhaust because I would need the back pressure in the system. But I just ignored them and went with it anyway and I believe it gave me nice gains in the RWHP dept.

I have the Roto-Fab CAI, BO White PTB and the SW High-Flow Cats and I got 427 rwhp/431 tq on a dynojet. I anticipated lower than that before the dyno tune.

But that ins't the point of the discussion is it, this system sounds abosolutely outstanding!

Good numbers! Did you happen to get a baseline?

No I didn't, I wish I would have done at least a single pull on a dyno when I was stock. I am assuming from what I have read hear on the forum that a stock LS3 is somewhere around 370-380 rwhp.

Im looking into getting this full setup. When I had my '02 Vette I had LT headers with SLP Loudmouth and while I loved the sound, it was EXTREMELY LOUD. As in stock car loud, even at idle. After seeing these reviews it makes me feel better because I don't want my SS that loud unless its WOT.

I have the full SW setup also for about two years, when I open it up leaving work I get tons of "thumbs up" gestures, wicked sounding

I was down to SW and Solo and a vendor video on here swayed me to SW, couldn't resist the deep low tone, completely satisfied with my choice!!
