Do long tube headers delete cats?
Buying a 2013 SS that has long tube headers and I’m told it has the first set of six cats deleted but doesn’t throw codes. Is this true?

Not usually with out a tune. But if they put the defouler bungs in they say they don't throw codes but your not getting a true reading that way.

typically they can be ordered with or w/o cats. a tune is required to ignored th eo2 sensors. As ron said, otherwise the engine throws a code.

First off, there's only 4 cats on a 5th gen Camaro. Secondly, you can get high flow cats or go catless with long tube headers. As others have said, you will need a tune otherwise the car will throw a CEL.
Guessing as this thread was started mid April and it shows you now drive a '13 SS 1LE, I assume you bought the car? How do you like it?
