Whats the point in having a performance car drive itself? This is very cool to watch and I know that it would be quite hard to pull off properly. But I'd rather just do it myself.

Since you have to "teach" it how to drive, you'd have races using people's AI's without the injury if crashes do happen. The guys would be in the pits and not flipping over a million times when their car is.
