I'll check the weather on Saturday afternoon, if looks like my heat is going to be in temps <50F I'll probably bring my 265/40/19 Pilot Alpin N-Spec tires... I might anyways as I don't want to drive back in the rain in worn SC3s! Looking forward to warm and sunny days...

Nice, do you find it's better to go down to 1st in real slow corners? I'm undecided... I have been leaving it in 2nd but wonder if I should downshift...

I find that in the cold my Michelin a/s 3+ has more grip that the Rivals, until they get hot. The real difference is in the launch though. I never have issues with the Michelins, but on the Rivals, even on hot days, they have a hard time finding forward grip until they get good and hot.

I use Rev Match and NLS, so I don't think I lose much time shifting. I do normally leave it in 2nd though. On the course in the videos, we had that one crazy tight hairpin and I think it worked there. RT660 had tons of grip on exit, so I could really use all the torque in 1st, even in the wet on Sunday. Last summer at Reno we had a course that was so tight it was 1st gear all the way. I won BS, PAX, and Fast Time that day, so that gave me an appreciation for 1st gear. Anyways my preference is to leave it in 2nd, but I think one downshift/upshift per lap can work. PS I started the run in the 2nd video in 2nd gear. It was raining a little and I was having issues navigating the first part of the track in 1st gear. I had spun on a previous run so I was just trying to lay down a smooth conservative lap and it turned out to be my fastest. |

Dude you are doing an awesome job of feeding in power aggressively and smoothly on exits. Just enough rotation... *chef kiss*

On the eLSD tune, I feel it makes a big difference. It puts the power down both better and more predictably. If you go too far it's also easier to control. Turn-in feels sharper but it's not quite as big of a difference vs the drive off. If there's lots of tight corners I think it'll be significantly faster, if not, then it may not do much. For the courses we run I can't think of one where the car wouldn't be faster and more consistent.
The ZLE rear subframe bushings are also well worth it despite the PITA they are to install. Though the bushings don't make you faster, they do noticeably increase feedback to the butt dyno and of course they eliminate flex. My initial impressions, can't wait to get the new tires...

Video from this weekend. A little unhappy with the car, didn't feel I had my best effort. had a diff issue one run, went into one wheel peel mode, had pedal on two others. if you watch at the end I put my hard pedal moment in there. Lacked some confidence this weekend. Could also be the day after my second cover shot I wasn't feeling... good lol

Someone had posted an interesting angle of the running from yesterday. Kinda cool to see how close I was to the cones, at least through the one slalom.

This was my fast run from an event yesterday. Really happy with how the car handles dynamically at this point, my only complaint about the suspension is that it's too digressive, so it's quite underdamped at high shaft velocities. I kinda knew that just by looking at the shock dynos, but hitting the big bump on the back side of the lot confirmed it.
https://youtu.be/Bg2gytHTJWo This was top index, fastest car on street tires. Two small mistakes on the run, but is otherwise solid. Got really close to a few cones. |

Nice driving, looks like you came a fraction of an inch from every cone on the driver's side!
