Do 2022 allocations come out today?

Thanks

We as dealers have no way of knowing if another dealer got an allocation. A GM regional rep would probably know though.

No. First dealer consensus for 2022 is the 2nd consensus in May. The allocations from that consensus will go out to dealers on June 3rd.

That is absolutely not what happened. 2020 orders were not converted to 2021 orders by GM. Dealers had to go in and resubmit sold 2020 orders as 2021 orders.

So, I ordered a 2022 Camaro on 4/15, when do I found out if my dealer will have allocation for it?

Thanks

Worst case scenario, June 3rd. If your dealer receives an allocation on their consensus, they will know in late May. They can also ask for Camaro allocation in the consensus, even if they don't have one showing. It's possible that they could get one by asking for it on the consensus.

They should also be contacting their GM Zone Rep and see if they can get them an allocation to fill your order.

I just emailed my saleswoman to ask the Manager or whoever does the ordering to contacting their Regional Rep. Of course I said it in the nicest way possible.

I am new to this forum but not to Fbody boards. My wife and I ordered a black 2022 ZL1 convertible on April 8/21. What does consensus mean?

Basically it is a twice monthly allocation period for dealers. GM does a consensus twice a month showing dealers how many of a certain model they will be receiving over the next 2-4 week period. It's also when dealers can ask for allocations for vehicles.

The allocations from the consensus show up on the weekly thursday allocations.

So, consensus comes first, then allocations from the consensus are handed out in the coming weeks after consensus closes.

Just received this from GM. Sorry to bring more bad news folks. This is all semiconductor shortage related.

Quote:
Lansing Grand River (Chevrolet Camaro and Cadillac CT4 and CT5) will take downtime the week of May 10 and will resume production in June to support limited 2022 model year Cadillac Black Wing pre-production volume.

- Chevrolet Camaro production will be idled from May 10 through June 28.
This also affects Farifax Assembly(Chevy Malibu, Caddy XT4), CAMI(Equinox), Saun Luis Potosi Assembly(Equinox/Terrain) and Ramos Assembly(Blazer/Equinox).
