If you had to choose between ZL1 or C8 ... Which one would you go for?
The C8 is nice but pretty basic (for a Vette). For me when the higher performance models came out it’ll be a base model Vette.
Right before release i was deciding if I wanted to upgrade to a Vette or spend the extra money on something else. When released I was a little disappointed. As stated above wheels suck but that’s an easy fix. The cladding looks cheap. That huge vent on the side looks outta place (purposeful I know). Headlights could be a-lot better. Once newness wears off I think i’d prefer a C7. Not trying to hate wanted to love it and was set to do it till i seen it. Id go used Z06 over both. As for me I ended up with an 18SS and a 71 Cevelle over both C8 and C7 Z06. Made me happy and thats most important. Would the best Camaro out or a basic C8 make you happier? Wife & I sat in a C8 before I bought my ZL1.
We were in there for a while discussing stuff, & while we both love the looks of the exterior she asked me which was faster for the money, I said the ZL1. Then we started discussing the interior & we both looked at each other & said “I like the Camaro better.” But I’m not gay. |

ZL1 because it has a stick shift option.
Yep, I am that guy.

ZL1 all day long! Saw a C8 this past Saturday at a local car show and was impressed with the new Corvette but not enough to give up my 2017 ZL1 for one.

Well I’m finalizing my C8 order tomorrow. With the continued delays it’s gonna be awhile
I love my SS1LE Camaro and really debated ZL1, but I have owned Corvettes in the past and after taking one for a spin recently I was more than impressed. |

After what i went thru on a new C7 i would be scared to touch a new C8 and at the prices they want then no way. When a C8 is under 55k used then maybe after 4 years from now if we know all the kinks have been worked out. 4 model years with the C7 and still the same old probs with the A8 and cracked wheels and bad rear ends.

Yea... I like rowing through the gears too. Not racing anything anyway.
Plus... hearing of some issues still... first run of entirely new car... and then the grand finale.....Every C8 Ive seen within a reasonable distance of me ... have asking prices over $100,000.00. And for that I wouldnt even take a look.

...though kinda hard to get a C8 when Bowling Green is shutdown for the second time in a month. This time for lack of DCT transmissions...too bad they weren’t producing another transmission, like, ohhh, I’d not know, a manual?

I would have bought a base C8 already if it was actually available and I could get one at MSRP.

Neither, they are totally different cars in different price points, in different planets... and as soon as the GM guys figure it out, that you do not cross shop those 2 vehicles, the Camaro will take off, oh, wait wut!

I don’t really think ZL1 and Corvette are totally different price points, if your comparing new MSRP to new MSRP.
