I'm looking to hold 2900-3000 PSI @6ms on the stock fuel lobe + 30% injectors. If the Katech can do this that would be great. The LPE can't.

Your car was making in the 800's whp with no correction factor. It's been proven many times that the OEM LT4 pump is good to 850whp uncorrected on race gas.

Come down to sea level and try to make over 1000whp on E85 without some lofty dyno correction factor, and that OEM pump will be hitting 130* by 4500rpm.

So would this pump running LT4 injectors, get more performance out of the injectors vs. the stock LT4 pump? With a cam?

With doing the trans this year can't swing the full fueling upgrade but this pump might be doable. Pulled the intake for the trans pull and that pump is just looking at me.

Nobody knows yet for certain as it hasn't even been installed on an engine in an actual car. But my best guess is no. You were currently injector limited before. I had your rail pressure turned up higher than stock to keep pulse width's lower.

You are just restating what you and I have discussed a dozen times.

It made 875 actual on Denver's most trusted dyno at 2900 at 5.4ms at DA 6000. I'm again planning to take it off the mountain next year. We have agreed that there's no way to know when it will run out of hpfp. It could be DA 3000 or 2000 or 1000 ft. Definitely at 0 ft.

Thus, I express continuing interest in more pump, such as the one discussed here. But it won't help.

Meth is one possible solution.

You quoted Megahurtz as if you are doing something special by being able to achieve sufficient fuel headroom with your stock HPFP. He was talking about running E85 on a stock cam lobe, not a custom 32% lobe cam on race gas. So, your post was apples to oranges as Josh mentioned. I was reiterating the point Josh was making by adding more detail.

I believe I said to you in a email that I don't know if you will have enough high side fuel pump or not at lower elevation. I never said a bigger fuel pump such as the LPE or this Katech wouldn't help. +30 injectors and a LPE pump on race fuel should easily support 1000whp at sea level. Nobody wants to run 15.00 a gallon race fuel or whatever it costs now, so you are kind of in your own category, but it should honestly be a lot easier to do vs E85 because E needs 30% more volume to hit the same AFR.

I admit to rarely reading an entire thread.

I found a BBFP at a good price but...

100 octane is now 10 bucks a gallon which still sucks but that's my setup and it's not a DD

I have to admit that the discussion about this new Katech pump kind of makes me wish I would have waited on the LPE. I scored a LPE Big bore for $900 on Saturday. Planning on pairing it with some XDI +30s when I pull the blower off to get a race port from Jokerz, add in a 103 TB and Big gulp. I am able to run ~E70 with the current mods in my sig, so I am hoping to be able to run close to full pump E after the next round of mods/fueling upgrades.

Depending on the tuner, pulley size, how far you push the LPE past is "recommended max PSI" and your location (sea level vs mountains) you can run at least E60 and maybe E70.

My Z06 ran this setup on a 2.31 upper with the X port and I could run E70 in the summer and E60 in the winter. I'm at sea level too so if you're up in the mountains you can run a higher content. Also, there are some things that need to be tweaked in the tune to get the most out of the LPE Big bore on the factory LT4 cam lobe.

Thanks for the input. Brandon at Elite Tuned does my tuning. He has been awesome so far and was able to make my stock fueling go a lot farther than other people said it would, so I am hopeful to say the least. I live around 1300ft above sea level. Due to weather, it will probably be March or April before I get a chance to take the car out after the mods and start the tuning. The blower is shipping out to Jokerz today, and the only other part I am now waiting on is the Soler TB.

Still no real information on capacity either… be good to get a handle on exactly what this pump can do. Flow rate at, say 2600 psi, on full E85 with a typical +32% lobe is what separates the men from the boys…. I know the beginning of the thread had some screenshots, but we’re definitely ready for real numbers. Which I know Katech Mike is definitely good for.
