Gasoline is sold by the litre in Canada? Wasn’t aware of that. But makes sense based on metric system used there and not here. So $2.25 CAD per litre for premium? So 18.8 gallon capacity or 71.17 litres. So $150+ CAD to completely fill up. Oof. And thought our $4-5/gallon premium was steep.

I was just up in Canada and took my parent's Saturn Vue to Costco to fill for them. Last August 3/4 of a tank cost me $50 CDN, last week same volume cost me $98 CDN. Crazy.

Ya its $2.26 a litre where I live. Still driving the Camaro on last season's gas. Down to a quarter tank left so I'll be re filling soon. Not looking forward to that estimating it to cost about $160 CAN.

Our government is a hot mess here but no different anywhere else I guess. Just buy an EV is what they say...

Swapped back to my OE wheels today. For a little while at least. The Supercar 3 tires are reading red/yellow lately.

You can catch the occasional set in the classifieds, that's how I scored mine, too. New ones are probably unobtainium at the moment, steep price nothwithstanding...

I lucked out. Twice. I stayed glued to the local Craigslist. I guy totaled his 1LE (car meets deer, both lose) and put the wheels and tires up for sale. I snapped them up the same day he put the ad up. Paid around $1,700 for the wheels and tires.

Then another local 1LE owner who tracks his car regularly switched to Cup 2 tires. He had a never mounted / ready for track day set of GY Supercar 3 tires available. Bought ‘em for like $800 and stored them in my neighbor’s garage. Next week I’ll get them mounted to the 1LE wheels. Probably put them back on before heading out to CamaroFest.

So I’m doing a thing or two. In addition to swapping the wheels back, I’m making some more cosmetic changes under hood. Been rolling with the orange plasti-dip engine covers for a few years. Now I’m committing to paint and a different color scheme. More on this in a few days.

I've been looking but stuff like this is not readily available in Canada like the US. Best chance is Toronto area which is 4hrs from me.

Hmm, I think that's what I said, too, it isn't readily available here either. However, if you're, say, in Ottawa and someone in the New York area sells a set, you may be able to pick that up in person. I'd definitely keep a tab on the classifieds and maybe other sources (facebook marketplace, ebay).

Good point, Ogdensburg is only a 90min drive and Syracuse 3hrs. What's the best place to check "classified's" for New York area ? We use Kijiji in Ontario.

Doing well up north. Back to the stock wheels for a little while. Probably switch back to the 1LE setup for CamaroFest.
