Rennstand by safejack Question
Hi all
I ran across the rennstand by safejack looking for jack stands due to the fact i hate trying to use regular stands on the lift points. Too much wobble trying to center it with the pinch weld adapter for regular stands ect . My question is has anyone used these and knows off hand which adapter will work with the zl1? They offer several options for pinch welds. Or do the ones that comes with the stands work, they look too shallow to clear the rockers to me. Thanks all |

Get the pinch weld adapters made by ZL1ADDONS or their is a cheaper version on Amazon which work just as well. I have had those on my car for 6 months. Work great. I use a hockey puck for additional clearance between the adapter and the jack. Never experienced any wobble with them. You don't have to use the pinch weld adapter that comes with the Rennstand.

Thanks prometheus
but i already have the zl1addons lift points installed and use them to jack the car up. I get wobble from using standard jack stands with the rubber pinch weld adapters when i let the car onto the stand. Im just wondering which adapter the rennstand needs to have clearance on the secondary front lift point? |

Personally i have the Esco three legged jack stands. I also have the ZL1 adapters for the pinch welds installed. The ESCO has a nice flat rubber seat and the car is solid as a rock on them. ZERO WOBBLE or instability. The other nice thing is with them being three legged I have to come at my drivers side at an angle with my large floor jack and can still easily seat the stand where it needs to be vs if it had a square based stand I couldn't

Here you go - they're not cheap but completely worth every penny.

I have the same ones, I guess that is why I wasn't experiencing any wobble. I use an additional hockey puck between the pinch weld adapter and the stand base and like Expermanmower said "they are rock solid". I think I paid about $60 apiece for mine from ReverseLogic. Not sure why the price doubles/triples the more u get on the Amazon listing.
I do like the Rennstand though! |

so what i am gathering is you guys are letting the car down onto the esco stands on the zl1addons installed lift points? and jacking the car up with the secondary pinch weld lift point on the front. I was using the installed lift points to jack, and setting the car on stands directly on the secondary open pinch weld directly. with the rubber amazon V adapter for jack stands. Guess that's why i was getting some wobble.
the standard U shaped jack stands even with the rubber V adapter for pinch welds just dosent sit well with me.. see what i did there... hahah i guess the flat top stands on the zl1addons installed lift points would be alot more stable. |
