Front Brake Pads
Hi, I’m looking for the front brake pads part number. OEM brake pads to be exact. Is there somewhere else I should buy them from? Or is my local Chevy dealer my best place?

I use https://www.shopchevyparts.com/ But I would suggest you investigate the PowerStop Z26. Lots of people here use them for the almost total lack of break dust on the wheels. Stops like OEM.

I would recommend any Ceramic pad. I had an issue with my brand new Ford Fiesta ST brake pads producing so much brake dust that it accumulated like grime on the wheels. It was ruining the wheels. I had to literally scrape it off every day. Reading the forums apparently the material is some sort of semi-metallic black compound- it looks and feels like graphite to me. They are supposed to have superior stopping power. I end up buying new Ceramic pads after only 2000 miles on the car from Auto Zone. I had a very hard time finding Ceramic replacement pads for it. Wow they are so awesome- way better than the stock supposedly "better" pads. And no more excessive dust and no accumulation on the wheels any more.
So I highly recommend Ceramic- which the Camaros may even have stock. My RS seems to have Ceramic- from the off white, not black dust it generates and the wheels stay relatively clean.

I have a complete set of Z26 PowerStop pads I bought for my 2017 SS I will sell you for $50 plus shipping. I had them on for about 500 miles. Replaced them with Z23 because the Z26 squealed a little when you first drive in the morning. They only squeal for about 1/4 mile but I am anal about squealing brakes. Front part # Z26-1474 rear Z26-1718. They are like new with no wear. Send a PM if you want pics and are interested. I also have the OEM pads with only about 1K miles before I replaced them due to excessive brake dust on my wheels. I will sell them for the same price. |

My local dealer wanted $400 for both front and rear pads. I laughed.
