Does that small panel shown in your pic just pullout ? Haven't wanted to yank on it just yet.

I have one in my trunk that is connected directly to the battery
But never really need to use it living in California.

one of the good things about California is the weather
(and there aren't many more)

That is my main concern and why I don't have it in the trunk. Im not worried about pinching the cord as much as ruining the seal. I also have a subwoofer and amp under the false floor in the back, the last thing I need is water getting in.

Yes it does. The entire thing is just molded carpet, and it has 2 tabs which tuck behind the outside carpet, to hold it in place.

If I lived in California I would be scared to own a Camaro, or would have every anti theft device available.

I live in warm climate but with 2 Camaros I still like to keep the battery in good shape when not driving one or both.

Not sure why you would even want to run a wire out there since there is a built in notch right below it in the floor panel.

Yes I deleted the political comment but thought it was pretty funny hearing a New Yorker bash CA.

Trust me, towing would be the only way they would get my car. And it is my weekend warrior and really never is to far away from me.

Last drive was Thanksgiving. Garaged since, often in sub-zero temps. Snow, ice, and cold are not the problem. Salt and brine are the enemy. Waiting for spring rains to wash it away. Until then?

Battery Tender Plus for engine compartment battery
Spring clip to positive battery post
Spring clip to chassis ground post
Hood resting in position before latching
Battery tender cord resting on microfiber where it touches car

Simple. Inexpensive. Effective
.

Not sure why that is jumbo sized. You only need 1 amp for trickle.
I got a 2 pack of chargers (Nexpeak) off amazon for $30. 1.75 amp, 6 or 12 v, fully agm compatible. Plus display shows charging amps and current battery voltage.

It's always nice to have more amperage if ever needed, like to actually charge up the battery. Once it goes into float, the charger is going to cut back anyway.

Battery Tender Plus measures 5" x 3" x 3", weighing 1.45 lbs. So, that could be considered jumbo sized, apparently. However, I chose it exactly for its form factor and feature set, both of which I really like.

It has a 3-prong plug and onboard transformer, proven and time-tested design, and 10-year warranty. I have no idea why you guys chose what you use, but hope your units live up to your needs and expectations. If so, I fully and unquestionably support your choices. Drive on!

I didn't see the comment, but I understand where you are coming from. However from what I have seen, thefts of Camaros are significantly worse in CA than in NY. They seem to be more focused on stealing high end luxury vehicles and japanese vehicles than the American muscle cars in NY.

You commented about the CA Governer which is what I referred to not the thefts.

Heck Dallas and Houston are a couple of the worst spots for that. My Camaros are always garaged or closeby if out somewhere.
