I have the BMR cradle lockout, installed myself which is why I went this way. Definitely worth it in my opinion, rear end doesn’t “shimmy” over bumps while cornering hard anymore. Transitions in tight turns seem a little quicker, as well as staying straighter when launching with wheel spin.

I called the parts dealer that I ordered from as well as a few other major parts warehouses, and it is a nationwide stock out. He said these things go one of several ways, the two most likely are:
1. They get notice from GM that the parts will be ready near the 60 days
2. The part gets discontinued and all orders are cancelled

This is a bummer. I want to wait the 60 days to see where this goes as I definitely want the true solid rear cradle bushings. But, I'd hate to wait the 60 days and find out that the part is discontinued and I need to go BMR anyway. I have a track event in mid April that I'd love to have these installed for, but am going to be patient. My next track event isn't until early June, so I should know by then and be able to change direction if needed.

Maybe GM realized that this one upgrade pretty much gets you all the handling benefits of the ZL1 1LE and it is hurting ZL1 1LE sales???

Just a wild guess, because truly, that is the ONLY weak point in the SS 1LE and ZL1's suspension. Most of the increased feel and increased stability in the ZL1 1LE is coming from those solid rear cradles. 95% of the front suspension is the same across all 3 models.

That would suck if they actually do discontinue them, but probably unlikely. When I got mine last year, they were on back order as well. I waiting about 4 weeks I think and picked them up from Wildhammer Motorsports.

I wonder if any other companies will be coming out with solid cradle bushings in the near future. I feel like the 5th gens have alot more options.

great mod...I just did this simple mod and feel it was worthy. Why swap the bushings and increase noise, vibration, harshness when the lockout fills the slop in the factory units? Everything fit great which usually isn't the case with aftermarket suspension parts.

from what i hear is the GM aluminum ones dont add any noise, vibration, or harshness. The Delrins i put in my 5th gen didnt either.

My ZL1 1LE solid rear cradles added nothing negative as far as NVH. That is myth. What it does do over the lockout kit is takes longer to install, but the trade off is 100% rear play gone, not just 80%-90%

No wrong answer here, but I can tell you 100% certainty that there is no added NVH.
