The hate is still going on over at 5th gen , anytime someone brings up they are thinking about trading up there are countless people trying to talk them out of it , very bad advice in my eyes but thats the way it is .

That is very true , mostly for the retro mod world . I have plans to do one in a few years myself . Right now they are a bargain compared to 69 to 73 .

Chevy had to implement 5 mph impact front bumpers on the 74 Camaro. Want to see a worse job done? Check out the 70 thru 72 Chevelle front vs. the 73. Horrid and the end of the SS Chevelle in 73. I picked up a sales brochure while in high school in 72 and I and my friends comment on the new 73 styling was, "Well, if you get it in the right color it might look good". Read this comment on this board lately? The more things change, the more they stay the same. I expect 19 SS sales to fall, but other 19 Camaro model sales to stay about the same.
The few that do like the refresh are having to try really really hard to like it.

The front end of the 2019 Camaro refresh may also show designs geared towards new pedestrian safety laws here and over seas . I think sales will be up slightly with the new design ,we will see.

Not likely. What works for PedPro is creating distance between the hard parts of the engine and the hood for head impact.

They haven't done "active" hinges or raised the hood that I can see.

Not having to try at all! Only frustration is that orders can't be placed yet!

An ex-girlfriend of mine drag races a 79 Camaro with a 383 stroker..she picked hers up for something like $2,500 back in 2009..now good luck finding one for less than about $8,000 now

How so? Pedestrians are sucked into the dark hole and side pieces of the "Predator" front end ( look out Arnold S.), chewed up and pass through the Chevy Flowtie never to be seen again. Just not a fan. Would look better with the flowtie in the upper grill or the SS in the lower grill. It's not in balance at all. JMHO.

Yeah i have read about the distance of hard parts and hood but i thought there was more to do with the actual front of the car and height .

It will be hard to find one running for $8k in a few years . I may end up having to buy a basket case for my project .

Come on stay focused and follow along here , you were busting on me for using the word “hate” not “ugly” I changed the word hate to “ugly” now you’re off on something else. However you slice it those people did not like the 5th gen refresh and they did not like the 6th gen and still do not. It’s all semantics. The word hate or ugly whatever same thing.
