exactly. If people cant keep their animals under control...sorry....although if it were my girlfriends..i would tread more lightly. I would tell her they need to be controlled because i dont want my property being damaged..either she cares and addresses your concerns, or depending on how I feel, by by girlfriend or the cats dissappear.

if you think it's immoral for her not to compensate you for her cat getting on your car, i think you're being a little harsh. it's an outside cat and you knew she had it. and therefore since it was outside you knew it could get on your car. i think it's your fault more than anything since you're the one who chanced parking outside. i wouldn't blame mcdonald's because i parked in their parking lot under a tree and tree sap fell on my car and ate through my paint, although mcdonald's owns the land and therefore the tree. i could have parked somewhere else. i could have taken a cab. i could have walked. if it's a question of moral in any way, it's as much a question of common sense.

I'm digging you having your GF (in the buff) help polish out the cats art work..................and for heavens sake take a few pic's and post them up..................that will either teach her to keep the kitty in check or us coming back for more rounds of great pic's as the punishment heats up. :-)

Hmmm... I don't think I'd ask my girlfriend for full compensation even if it was her cat that did the damage. I feel like in a relationship, nobody really owes anybody anything for stuff like this; it's just something you go through together. Of course that would more likely apply to a longer or more serious relationship (not saying yours isn't, but I don't know what type of relationship you have), but I think you get my point. Or maybe you can go 50/50 since, like I said earlier, "together".

Is it fair to punish an animal because of an owner's irresponsibly? Antifreeze is a very cruel way to "take care" of an animal. Now I'm with you 110% Mike25....I wouldn't want to see cat scratches on my car, but don't blame the cat.....the owner should know better than to let a cat run amok in the neighborhood. And in a city or built up area, it borders on animal cruelty (getting hit by a car).
When I first read this, I didn't think it would get so deep. |

damage liability is 50/50 cat/owner. If a human didnt know what a stop sign was because no one ever taught him, would he be pardoned when he ran it killing someone?

Tell her you'll pay for the declaw, and she pays for a new bumper(it's plastic and was also grooved as well as the paint).
