How do some SS crackle when Reving?

I had a 2022 LT1 and now a 23 SS both with NPP and I’ve never heard Crackles when revving while parked how do some people’s cars do this on the stock NPP exhaust?

Run it hard in 2nd gear and abruptly let off the gas, you'll get all the "Snap, crackle & pops" you'll ever want...

The sound is intoxicating during downshifts going into and coming out of jug handles.

I wish you could disable it. It cant be great for the cats to dump fuel into the exhaust for sound fx.

Popping like that is a symptom of a tuned older car, on this car i can’t imagine thats the case.

The GM engineers specifically added this "feature" in the 2019 and newer tunes, I don't think they would have done that if it was going to cause harm...

That’s what I thought but in most videos when someone picks up their SS and rev it crackles even with the rev limiter.
