Gen5/Gen6 Wheel Swap Help!

I have two issues on which I could use some advice.

First, my son has some pretty ugly wheels on his 2012 Camaro LS. I do not like the wheels on my 2023 Camaro SS (all back wheels on red car). He has 18x7.5 wheels on his currently(don't know offset). I have 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 (I think 25mm offset) on my car currently. Am I correct in assuming I should just be able to transfer my current set up straight to his car with no issues?

Also, I am getting new wheels for mine. I went with the machined face with black model below. Does anyone run these? How do you like them? Do they look good? Pics? I love machined faces and hate all black wheels. They are a little wider than my originals at 20x9 (27mm offset) and 20x10 (35mm offset). That should fit like a glove, right?

I am fairly confident your old wheels will fit your son’s camaro. Now this is just my opinion, but I am not really a fan of the wheels you chose. Anytime I see a wheel where the only part that is machine is the face, I can’t help but think of boat trailer wheel, and they just look cheap to me. But it’s your car and you like what you like. However you should check out some wheels in the styling of something like Apex’s VS-5RS.

I read some Camaro5 post and don’t see why your wheels won’t fit the 2012. But IDK squat about 5th gens.

Also, while the wheels in this post are all chrome vs. black, they look close to the design you selected and they’re on a 5th gen.

The offset between the 5th gen and 6gen may be slightly different but shouldn’t pose a problem installing on the 5th gen.

A 5th gen can fit almost any Camaro wheel and a 275-40-20 on the front. It's when you try to put 5th wheels on a 6th gen is when you get into trouble. PS: I agree, black wheels are not my choice on a red car either.

I sold my OEM wheels off my 6th gen to a guy that has a 5th gen. He said they fit just fine.

Really, I think I would jack both cars up and see what fits. Then there wouldn't be any guessing.
