Pushrods for LS7 lifters?
So, I've decided to go with the "Texas Speed Dual Spring Cam Package"
This kit includes: Stage 2 N/A cam: 229/244 .629/.615 112 3 bolt cam core Texas Speed 7.400 Hardened chromoly pushrods PAC .660 dual springs w/ one piece seat & seal GM 3 bolt 4x upper sprocket I'll still need to get a replacement timing chain, maybe stock or C5R. Also necessary gaskets/bolts. Is there anything I'm missing for this cam install? I plan to do it myself. I'm thinking about replacing the stock lifters with LS7 lifters while I have it open. My question is, will 7.400 pushrods still work with LS7 lifters? are they the same length as LS3 lifters? Also, has anyone used this cam kit? Texas Speed is selling this kit for a very affordable price, just wondering if anyone has used any of their valvetrain components or cams? Thanks. |

The LS3 lifters are the same as LS7 lifters.

Oil pump! And I’m also gunna get them to install the chc (I think that’s the acronym) bushing kit for the rockers when they port my heads and install the springs.

lol...keep researchin bro...you CAN NOT change the lifters WITHOUT taking the heads off...
your gettin there but your q's continue to show that your are not takin the time to figure some of this out yourself. peace...

Imo.. go with at least a stage 3 cam. Don't waste your time and money with 1 or 2...

I would look into doing the trunion upgrade to the rockers as well.

Head bolts, head gasket, valve cover gasket, trunnion upgrade, balancer bolt, oil pump, and that’s just a few off the top of my head. Take your time and have fun. It’s definitely worth it.
