SS put away for winter

Does anyone in here put there car away for winter . We do don't want to drive her in the snow and salt. And it to easy to get in a fender bender out here in winter land.

Early storm messed up the roads here in New England.
Resting comfortably with just 800 miles. Still a baby!

Nope. Not me. Installed my new snow tires last week. This will be my 3rd winter and car looks just fine....nothing rotting off, paint looks great
A couple others don’t either.
Why wouldn’t we want to drive a Modern Car with a full suite of traction controls.

Plenty of reasons.
Big hp and rear wheel drive sucks in snow/winter/cold...even with winter tires, nannies and traction control.

Other drivers suck. Nuff said!

Summer only tires.

4WD Tacoma. No worries.

Subaru Legacy with 4 winter tires. Winter mountain goat!

Put away late Oct. Snow and salt arrived unusually early in SW Ont.
Overfill the tires, battery tender, fuel stabilizer and oil/filter change to eliminate any blowby sitting in the pan or gallies. Makes the spring that much sweeter.

I put mine away a couple weeks back. You're in the Winnipeg area, aren't you?

Mine will sit in the garage 1) When there is snow on the road 2) When there is ice on the road. I will drive it every other day.

Same here, 3rd winter car looks new still. Best thing was to throw the A/S on and get your money's worth rather then sit in a garage for months. I don't have the luxury of having a second car/suv except for the wife's if need be. Great rear wheel drive with the proper tires in the snow. Maybe a rare collectable classic car i would garage for the winter but not a newer Camaro. I can see the case for convertibles more so but then again snow covered converts i see in winters at least here in NYC. To each his/her own....

I hear you

For us we don't need to drive her in winter. And in our area not many people know how to drive . Imo. So she is safe under the covers in her bedroom till the sun is warm and we have put away our winter convertibles. We did the same to our other toy we owned for 37 years till we got the rag top now it's her turn. To sleep come winter. Lol. Here is a pic of the car we owned for 37 years. And we enjoyed her every min . Now we own a rag top I had longed for since my uncle took me for a ride in his white 63 impala with red interior when I was just a kid.

She is our summer baby and until we get great weather year round we will keep her off the salt and sanded streets And away from those that drive in winter as they do in summer out here in Manitoba lol. We don't even do gravel in summer with her to keep the rock chips to a minimum . Have fun in your ride as we do in ours.
