The 50/50 weight distribution is almost more important than the weight loss.

BMW is going to be jealous!

Here's a chart that explains it all for you, nicely laid out: http://bfy.tw/41tD

Looking forward to seeing what you find out. Your car is optioned out pretty much exactly like mine.

People don't believe me when I say 50/50 is just as important if not more than less weight. But, I will take the less weight on top of nearly perfect 50/50!

This is where the 200C commercial needs to have a Camaro in it. Look at this 2 door Germ... no, Jap... It's American?!?!

The 50/50 shown is the cross weight, not the front/rear distribution. Don't get those confused. Looks like this car is roughly 55/45 for f/r weight distribution with 1/8 tank of gas which isn't terrible but not great either.

Jordan had very few miles on the stock wheels/tires so we don't really have much in the way of feedback with adding the ZL1 replicas. He is very impressed with the vehicles handling characteristics with the ZL1 set-up though.

All the best,

Balanced

49.9% cross balance is awesome. Also, the right side of the car has more weight than the driver side. This is great too as it's a more balanced car with the driver and steering gear making clockwise road courses (a joke in the U.S., BTW) much easier on that left front tire/rotor. Nice Chevy!

Cannot wait for the 1LE!!!!

We weighed in at just 3589 lbs with 1/8 tank of fuel and LG ZL1 replicas, wrapped in GY F1's in 285/35/20 up front and 305/35/20 in the rear. We weighed the wheels and tires against the OE wheel/tire set-up and our difference was 14 lbs (largely due to the addition of a LOT more rubber) making the OE set-up a dainty (when compared to the 5th Gen) 3575 lbs. You may have noticed in the photos but the car has nearly perfect weight cross-balance. 49.9%!! More power, less weight and great balance. No wonder these cars are such performers, right out of the box! Nicely done GM!
All the best,

I started another thread with my 2SS weight, but it got moved to the wheel section since I also had the wheel/tire weights. I'll add my cars weight here also:

2SS
6 speed
NPP
MRC
5 spoke OE wheels and tires
no sunroof
full tank of fuel (3 miles from fill up, the car only had 6 miles on it total)

LF = 987 lbs
RF = 1021 lbs
LR = 853 lbs
RR = 874 lbs
Total = 3735 lbs

I used the Rebco 1Weight scales we have at work. They are calibrated yearly and very accurate (~$1100 scales, should be!).
