Matos1LE, you are right. I had to look at a gazillion photos to see the difference between OEM ZL1s and aftermarket. Problem is most photos of the side rockers are poor for seeing details. But, persistence has paid. The OEM FWD portion is also wider, then as it trails AFT it's right up under the doors. Aftermarket rockers are narrower and fall short of the door. Attached is a photo of a beautiful yellow ZL1 with gloss black rockers that shows them nicely.

I ordered OEMS a couple of weeks ago and am having a local custom paint and body shop paint them, NFG Metallic and gloss black. Don't ask how much, I don't want to think about it, alot! But I just had to have them. Should be picking them up next week and installing them myself.

Update: Received the side rockers from GM. The paint and body shop sent some pictures just out of the box to verify they are the correct ones this time. Yes, this time. The first set received was for a 2015 Camaro. Those now returned and the right ones on hand they proceeded to paint. Will be picking them up tomorrow morning. Should be installing next week.

There are also different between convertible and coupe near the front for where the cross brace goes to the side body / rocker area.

Do you have a PN? After you pointing it out I do like the look of OEM vs the aftermarket.

Very interested to see the how these turn out. I have the same color. How will you be addressing the gap by the front wheel well?

Update. Picked up the rockers from the paint and body shop last Friday. They look great.

As for addressing the gap I'll be using the burningice thread, washer stackup method, see link below.

Sorry all, I can't seem to get these photos clocked right side up.

Finally finished this install. On one hand it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't fun either. The after look is great. The rockers really make it look more aggressive.

Special thanks to Burningice for this thread and his work helping us all to see how this is done.

does anybody know if oem rockers panels/side skirts from a convertible will fit on a coupe since the coupe doesn't have the larger convertible side rails or supports. i wanted to buy a spare set to put away just in case, from a fella that has new body color painted ones on e bay but he only has my color in the convertible version. thanks

I opted for the EOS ZL1 Refresh Style front splitter and side skirts for the 2019-2020 models (apparently, they are different than the ones they make for other years).

My rear diffuser is the textured dark gray, so I left this completely unpainted. They are installed with tape ONLY (I did not use any hardware on the skirts, and ONLY the original bumper cover bolts for the front splitter).

Anyone know if 84177431 is still the correct part number for the install?
