Installed RF P300-10 Sub in '18 1LE

I just had a local shop install this guy in my 1LE.
https://www.crutchfield.com/S-Q3ifss...h-P300-10.html

It's 230 on Crutchfield there, but I found one for 163 on eBay.

Installer said it was pretty straightforward. I got these tie down straps to keep the box from moving and they work great. Installer said they tapped the front speakers for the input source. After adjusting the sub's bass level and the car's tone settings, I think I have it sounding pretty good considering it's a powered sub connected to hi-level signal off a factory HU.

I like the connectors the Sub uses as they're clips, so it's SUPER simple to remove the box if I need to.
There's a remote bass adjustment that they mounted under the dash.

Crutchfield is awesome! I can't say enough good about them. Don't dig the straps, but a good temp fix. I think I would make some brackets to secure it from behind.

Yea.. it looks pretty cheesy, but works for now. Will probably work on a cleaner solution later.

While it is cheap and that works for you, I am like the others it looks thrown together and blocks some of the trunk space.

That is why I went with the JL Audio Stealth box. Mounts in the side of my 1LE's trunk and is like I dont even have a sub in the back of the car.

Looked into the JL, but that's about 1000 more (as I'd need an amp also).. This adds a good amount of thump for very cheap. Just posting in case someone was wondering about getting this sub/box/amp combo. Despite being awkward to mount, the performance for the price is great.. (It's got 4.6/5 stars on Amazon with 1000+ reviews)

If I ever enter into a car show or something, I'll be sure to come up with a more elegant solution for securing the box lol!

How does this JL unit sound? 10" or 12"? How much power? What type of music do you usually listen to?

Oh man, you guys would hate my box in the trunk, takes up a lot of the trunk space haha
I replaced all speakers & tweeters with JL Audio. I have the factory amp for sound and another JL audio Amp for bass. I got the epicenter for bass control.
